TMZ Reports: A New Romantic Triangle Rises

The industry's been pretty silent in the past few weeks, in terms of scandals at least. Besides the uneventful European Music Awards, the lack of promotion during Kelly Clarkson's release week and Lindsay Lohan's team announcing a plane crash then going back to silence, every pop star seemed to want to let every tabloid thirsty. Of course, until a week ago!

Among the overexcited celebratory tweets where Lorde mentions that her latest studio effort, "Speed of Light / Eclipse", went diamond, a specific shout out to Brendon Urie was made: "im gonna go get blackout drunk in celebration with @calbrendonurie now xoxo". Of course, nobody really cared about it since the singer tends to deliberately post provocative message. However, the response of her (ex?) boyfriend, Maxence, is what made us suspicious. Although the two-word tweet ("Oh") seemed more of an inoffensive response to an inside joke, both Lorde and Urie tweeting never-seen-before pictures of each other seemed to give away their affair. Besides all of that, it has been confirmed via Twitter that Urie and Lorde spent their holidays together, while the "Bite" singer spent it with his parents. The "Good Girls" singer also did not show up at Maxence's Prime Allure event, which included the release of the tracklist for his new upcoming album, "Prime".

TMZ tried to reach to each artist invovled. While Maxence's and Lorde's team refused to give an official statement, Urie's team responded: "there's nothing we can confirm or deny regarding our artist, Brendon Urie's personal life. Whatever he does not related to music should remain private to him and only him."

Should this dramatic event unfold throughout the upcoming GRAMMYs? We'll see. Keep your eyes peeled on the news, you never know what is going to happen!
